Start here · What does indexability mean?
Indexability means a search engine is allowed and able to include a URL in search results. A page can be crawlable but still not indexable if it returns an error, has a noindex directive, or points its canonical tag somewhere else.
This checker fetches up to 20 URLs and looks at the signals beginners usually miss: HTTP status, meta robots, X-Robots-Tag, canonical URL, and redirects.
Read the output as a blocker list. A green URL has no obvious indexability issue. A flagged or blocked URL needs a closer look before you ask Google to index it.

- No. Indexability only means the page can be included in search results. Ranking depends on relevance, quality, links, intent, and many other signals.
- Why is a canonical warning not always a blocker?
- A canonical pointing elsewhere is intentional for duplicate pages. It is a problem when the tested URL is supposed to be the page that ranks.
